January Favourites, Updates and Wishlist

LOOK by BIPA Matte Camouflage Concealer  010 This became my favourite high coverage drugstore concealer, replacing Collection's  after a very long time. Formulas are actually almost identical and you're not missing out much if you have that one already, but the shade is a lot more neutral, so it fits me a bit better. It covers a lot, from circles, redness to spots and it has a matte finish, plus I find the staying power is better than at Catrice Liquid Camouflage , so if you live in a country with Bipa, this is a great concealer to try. TREND IT UP Powder Blush 050 I tend to stick to the same type of warm muted pinky mauve blushes and so I don't neglect any in my collection, I rotate them in my routine - this blush had its turn in January. It's one of the best shades in our drugstores and it's one of those colours that gives the cheeks a bit of definition, but doesn't overtake the look. The formula is nicely pigmented, silky and this shade even has a bit of a gl

L'OREAL Paradise Extatic Mascara While I agree with most that in terms of effect this is one of the best mascaras in the drugstore, I find it's too expensive (15 €) and what I resent a lot more si that it's dry within two months. European version also has less product than the US version and it's costs more, which I don't intend to support. There are plenty of similarly great mascaras that I'll buy instead. Repurchase: Maybe, but unlikely. CATRICE Liquid Eyeliner My favourite liquid eyeliner and the second in a row I've used up. It's very black, matte and lasts perfectly on the lids. Repurchase: Done. BALEA Refreshing Wash Gel Erfrischendes Washgel A great and simple gel cleanser with a skin friendly pH that I use as my second cleanser after oil. The only minus is the men's cologne kind of scent (strong and fresh), but I got used to it. Repurchase: Done . SECRET KEY Starting Treatment Essence Rose Edition I've gone through two 30 ml samples that

New in: Swap from Canada

I've talked a little about this in one of my previous posts, but I've done my first swap and it was with a reader from Canada. I'm not that familiar with what is sold in Canada, I just know it's similar, but less than in the US, so I agreed to a surprise package for each other with products that fit our preferences. The wait for my parcel was crazy because despite the insane shipping costs from both sides (about 40-50 € for each!), it took two months to arrive, but at least it's finally here. You can see what I sent to Canada here  (in the middle of the post).  MAYBELLINE Volumin' Express the Mega Plush Mascara 270 Blackest Black I remember this being featured on blogs several years ago before Sensational launched, but it's one of Maybelline's mascaras that never reached Slovenia. Most notable feature of this mascara is a bendy wand, while the brush is big and bushy, but of classic design. I've been using it for the past few weeks and it's a ver

CATRICE Liquid Liner 010 Dating Joe Black I got two of these on separate dates, the first one in December because my old one was running low, but then Catrice started their 6548th discontinuing campaign and due to a incorrect label in my local drugstore I mistakenly thought it's going to be discontinued and bought another one (it's only the waterproof version that won't be sold any more). To my great relief I learned this is staying in their standard line, I admit I'd be upset if they decided to kick out my new favourite eyeliner just when I found it, but I can't say I'm not used to Catrice and Essence acting like consumers have an attention span of five-year-olds. It's the only liner I've been using every day for the past seven months because it's the blackest liner that's completely matte, it stays forever on the lids, doesn't smudge or flake and the applicator is comfortable. Great stuff. DM, 3.79 € CATRICE Metallic Liquid Liner 010 Bronze
