Essence Camouflage Healthy Glow Concealer

Image
Essence introduced two new concealer formulas in their autumn/winter update, one is a matte one and the other healthy glow version. I have the latter and considering how there's nothing I can describe as glow at this formula, I wonder what their matte version is like. This is the type of formula that fits into the group of high coverage concealers like Catrice Liquid Camouflage , Collection Lasting Perfection , Look Matte Camouflage and The Saem Perfect Cover .  Texture: The formula feels closest to Catrice's Liquid Camouflage, which is the most liquid out of the high coverage concealers I've mentioned above, but Essence's is a bit thicker. Given the name I expected something in the line of Maybelline Fit Me concealer , Bourjois Radiance Reveal or  Maybelline The Eraser , but this is a high coverage formula with a satin matte finish that's won't perform that great on dry, tired skin. Due to a lot of pigment, it's takes some effort and time to blend it in ...

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer

Image
This concealer is one of the most popular products by The Saem and I believe also one of bestselling K-beauty makeup items (at least online), which is actually how I found it. When I was reading reviews, I saw it's often compared to Nars' Creamy Radiant Concealer , labelled a dupe for a fraction of a price.  Texture: Out of all my high coverage concealers, actually all of my concealers, this has the thickest, most concentrated formula. You have some time to work with it, but not like at moisturising concealers and a tiny dot of this formula goes a long way when you start blending it. Due to a thick texture, it needs some extra blending, that's why I prefer to tap this in with fingers because it needs to be warmed up a bit to avoid it looking too heavy, especially if you layer it or use it on dry areas. Compared to Nars Radiant Creamy concealer it's thicker, but the coverage is similar, The Saem might cover a bit more. Nars' concealer looks a bit less obvious on the ...

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Precision Concealer

Image
HD Liquid Coverage Precision concealer is a new product by Catrice for spring/summer 2018 and it's the first concealer I've seen with such a precise applicator that's meant for covering small imperfections like spots. It exists in three shades and I have the lightest one called 010 Light Beige. Texture: It's the same thing as the Liquid Camouflage concealer , so the lightest formula that I tried out of the high coverage concealers. It blends easily either with fingers, a sponge or a brush. Like at Liquid Camouflage this has one those kind of cakey looking finishes if you layer it which I'm not a fan of (you can see it in the pictures I hope), but it's only apparent if the base underneath isn't smooth, which at spots it never is. Bottom left picture: One layer of product. Bottom right picture: Three layers. Coverage and finish: Since the formula is lighter than the competition's, it covers a bit less, which is especially apparent at spots because you nee...

Look by Bipa Matte Camouflage Concealer

Image
I'm one of those who doesn't like a lot of coverage when it comes to the base and concealer, so I'm a fan od formulas like Bourjois Radiance Reveal , but when I need to cover spots,  Collection Lasting Perfection  was my favourite for many years. Look concealer finally knocked it off its throne and I credit the original find for this to Petra, who also kindly sent it to me. She already posted her review here . It's a concealer that's sadly only available in Bipa, an Austrian drugstore chain, which doesn't have shops in Slovenia. Texture : It's one of the high coverage matte concealers that's very similar to the likes of Catrice Liquid Camouflage and Collection Lasting Perfection , but more to the latter as Catrice's is thinner and has a bit less coverage. Formula is creamy and easy to blend either with fingers, a sponge or a brush. It doesn't set immediately, so you have some extra time to work with it, but then it sets quite matte, at least on ...
