MAKEUP REVOLUTION Fast Base Stick F1 These are now available in DMs and when I swatched one in the shop, I just loved how the texture melted into the skin and it looked so perfect on the back of my hand. Also the lightest shade is very light, so it's a new foundation in the drugstores that's appropriate for Snow Whites. But when I tried it the first time on my face, I was less impressed with the texture. While the formula is so soft and buttery, it sat weird on the skin, like a heavy foundation that refuses to blend in well (I used a brush). In a strange turn of events, this looked more decent at the end of the day - all the patchiness was gone and it looked blended much better, so this is definitely a formula that needs to be warmed up to blend in well. Coverage is very high, almost full and the finish is somewhat satin - if I apply a thin coat it's more matte, if the layer it thicker it's a bit satin shiny (my skin is currently dry). It lasts well on the skin, even on...

MAKEUP  *BOURJOIS Eye Catching Mascara The latest mascara by Bourjois which comes in an adorable packaging with cats embossed on the cap. The brush is a classic one and it's dented (has shorter bristles) on one side, while the opposite side is very bushy. Formula looks thick and very creamy, but it's not a super messy type of formula like Catrice Lashes to Kill Pro . At first it created a natural & separated look with one coat, while several coats gave a moderate amount of volume. Now it's dried a bit and the volume is built up faster, though it's not as defining as it was from the start. For an "eye opening" mascara I expected it to both lift and hold lashes, but it does neither of these things. In fact I really put an effort in curling, plus added a thin layer of a waterproof mascara under it and yet this just dropped my lashes completely. It's an ok mascara in terms of being volumizing, but it's not for me because I want lift too. 13.49 € BEYU B...

Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Awakening Rose

Image
This is the third Avon's matte lipstick in my collection and like the other two, it was a gift, but this time from a lovely fellow blogger Lana (thank you!), who also swatched all three of the new shades of Perfectly Matte line that were released in spring. My other two shades are Peach Flatters and Ravishing Rose , which are both from the original line-up of shades.  Awakening Rose looks tamer in the tube than it ends up on the lips, so despite looking quite different at first glance than Peach Flatters, the difference on the lips is more or less just in the amount of pink and peach tones. Awakening Rose leans more pink and Peach Flatters more peach. Both are classic spring shades in the peachy-pink family, but how pink or how peachy they'll look depends also on your skin tone. Against my pale skin both have a noticeable peachy tone, while you'll notice on Lana and Adjusting Beauty who are both not as pale as me and I believe both have a yellow undertone, it looks much...

Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick Peach Flatters

This is the second shade I got from this line, so I've already talked about the formula and its similarity to Milani's Moisturising Matte lipstick , which alongside this one are my second favourite classic lipstick formula (after Colourpop Matte X ). Peach Flattters is one of the original shades, they've expanded the range since the launch (I have the new Awakening Rose  too, but I'll post swatches sometime later) and it's one of those shades that tends to look very different depending on your skin tone. I've reviewed the formula when I posted about the shade Ravishing Rose , but this is again another very high quality matte lipstick with a lovely siliconey-soft formula that just glides on the lips and has a nice sort of matte finish. To me Colourpop Matte X have the most perfect matte finish among lipsticks, but these are my second favourite, since they are very close to being properly matte (though I have to say the new Bourjois Rouge Velvet the Lipstick is ...
