Rimmel Maxi Blush 003 Wild Card

Image
Sometime in the summer Rimmel launched a new line of blushes which are more than twice the size of their Lasting Finish ones and they are available in four shades, three are sold here in Slovenia. The other two are #004 Sweet Cheeks, a peach, and #006 Exposed, which is a very interesting neutral beige-dusty rose looking shade in the pan, but it swatches light pink on my skin tone.   Texture: Compared to their old line of blushes, these are not as soft and are more tightly pressed. There is some kick-up and the texture could be a bit silkier, but I have such a dark shade that any texture is very unforgiving if you don't spend extra time blending it. My shade blends ok for such a deep shade, nothing out of the usual and the finish is matte. Shade: Wild Card is a muted deep peachy-pink shade which on my cheeks looks like a strong warm pink. It's the deepest shade out of the three we have here and I need to be very careful with it because it's too much almost with one swipe. ...

Rimmel Stay Satin Liquid Lip Colour

Image
Rimmel did a great job with their Stay Matte formula, which is one of my favourites in the drugstore. They added a satin finish version to their ranges of lipsticks and they offer 14 shades (four are sold here in Slovenia). Texture: These are fully opaque with a formula that is a mix between a cream and a mousse. They don't have the super comfortable feel of Revlon's Ultra HD's because as they set/dry, they become a bit sticky. They aren't drying on my lips and since they never truly set, I doubt anyone will find them uncomfortable. The finish is a nice looking satin - it's less shiny than on my pictures because I didn't have time to wait for them to set. 130 Yuppie 130 Yuppie is a muted light-medium peachy-pink, a perfect mix of the two shades. It's a nice every day colour that I've been wearing a lot since I got it. 400 Obsession  400 Obsession is a warm hot pink. Staying power: These lasts similarly to regular lipsticks with a creamy-satin formula....

Rimmel Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss

Image
It's been a while since I wore such a classic lip gloss formula, as most of my collection consists of those new-age lip gloss/lip balm hybrids. These contain argan oil and have a high shine, instead of the creamy glossy shine I tend to wear. Texture: It's a medium thick gloss with a nice comfy, non-sticky formula. It's nothing special, but it's a good one and it doesn't bleed. It's the shiniest gloss I currently own, but it would be more obvious if I had a clear shade or something that would look more even. Shade: 500 Ohh La La is a pinky red shade, even though it looks red in the tube. Pigmentation is sheer with one coat, second builds up the colour, but natural lip colour is still visible through. Staying power: It claims to last for 6 hours, but it's quite exaggerated. Just like most glosses the shine is gone within an hour, while a light layer of gloss persists for a couple of hours. Scent: This has quite a strong plastic scent that is not my favourite....

New in #71

MAKEUP  *BOURJOIS Eye Catching Mascara The latest mascara by Bourjois which comes in an adorable packaging with cats embossed on the cap. The brush is a classic one and it's dented (has shorter bristles) on one side, while the opposite side is very bushy. Formula looks thick and very creamy, but it's not a super messy type of formula like Catrice Lashes to Kill Pro . At first it created a natural & separated look with one coat, while several coats gave a moderate amount of volume. Now it's dried a bit and the volume is built up faster, though it's not as defining as it was from the start. For an "eye opening" mascara I expected it to both lift and hold lashes, but it does neither of these things. In fact I really put an effort in curling, plus added a thin layer of a waterproof mascara under it and yet this just dropped my lashes completely. It's an ok mascara in terms of being volumizing, but it's not for me because I want lift too. 13.49 € BEYU B...
