Covergirl The Super Sizer by Lashblast Mascara

Image
Supersizer is one of the two mascaras I got in a swap from Canada , this one is in waterproof version. We don't have this brand here, but I believe it's a sister brand of Max Factor and many products share remarkable similarities, but there isn't an equivalent for this mascara. It features a quite unique brush with very short bristles and it's quite a volumizing mascara. The brush is thin with super short bristles and some slightly longer ones at the tip. This wasn't the best idea based on my experience because it's barely capable of combing the lashes, though mostly it doesn't, so it just deposits a lot of product, especially since the formula itself is very thick. I end up with a lot of product and volume, but very messy lashes, also the more you apply it, the higher the chance it starts to clump the lashes and creating clusters. It's bad at fanning out the lashes and corner lashes pose a particular problem as it can't reach them well. It's a ...

Covergirl Smoothers All Day Hydrating Makeup

I haven't heard anything about this foundation until I got it in a swap from Canada, so I have no idea when it was released, but based on the packaging I think it might be one of the older formulas (I found reviews on Makeup Alley spanning all the way back to 2001!), which always implies a long-lasting popularity. I was initially very impressed, at least for the first few hours until I checked in the mirror. It had the potential to be one of my favourites, but failed at one crucial point. Texture: It's one of the creamier liquid foundations, but very light on the skin and pretty much undetectable once you blend it in. It sets fast, so there is no tacky feeling with this one. It blends very easily with any brush, sponge or fingers. Coverage and finish: it's got a light-medium coverage and it's a type of formula that's easy to build up. The finish is super natural and undetectable on the skin, so it's very similar to the likes of Bourjois Healthy Mix and Dior BB...

New in: Swap from Canada

I've talked a little about this in one of my previous posts, but I've done my first swap and it was with a reader from Canada. I'm not that familiar with what is sold in Canada, I just know it's similar, but less than in the US, so I agreed to a surprise package for each other with products that fit our preferences. The wait for my parcel was crazy because despite the insane shipping costs from both sides (about 40-50 € for each!), it took two months to arrive, but at least it's finally here. You can see what I sent to Canada here  (in the middle of the post).  MAYBELLINE Volumin' Express the Mega Plush Mascara 270 Blackest Black I remember this being featured on blogs several years ago before Sensational launched, but it's one of Maybelline's mascaras that never reached Slovenia. Most notable feature of this mascara is a bendy wand, while the brush is big and bushy, but of classic design. I've been using it for the past few weeks and it's a ver...
